Turn features on and off
Hide the parts of Balancivo your organization doesn't use, like invoices for a church or donor statements for a business.
Who can do this: Owners.
Balancivo does a lot, and not every organization needs all of it. A church may never send an invoice, and a coffee shop has no donors. Turn off what you don't use, and it's left out of the menu for everyone in your organization.
Steps
- Go to Settings. It's at the bottom of the menu.
- Find Features. Each feature has a check box and a short description.
- Uncheck what you don't need, like Invoices and bills or Donor statements.
- Click Save features. The menu changes right away.
Good to know
- A new church starts with Invoices and bills and Subscriptions off. A new business starts with Funds and Donor statements off. Organizations you already had keep everything on. Change any of it whenever you like.
- Nothing is deleted. Turn a feature back on and everything in it is still there.
- Reviewing transactions, importing statements, reconciling, month close, contacts, accounts, the chart of accounts and the main reports are always on.
- Only owners can turn features on and off. Bookkeepers see the same menu the owner chose.
- If someone opens a page that's turned off, like an old bookmark, Balancivo says it's turned off, and owners get a button to turn it back on.
- Tax and donor reports shows the 1099 list, donor statements, or both, depending on which of the two is on.
