See every charge that repeats, catch price increases and duplicates, and get an email before renewals.

The Subscriptions page shows every charge that repeats. Go to Subscriptions, under Money in and out. Click Find subscriptions to look through the last 13 months of charges. Balancivo also does this every night. The tiles show about what you spend a month and a year, and how many need a look. Click To look at. It lists price increases, services you pay for twice, and charges that stopped. Here, a price went up. Now you can decide whether it's still worth it. Two design tools overlap, and one hasn't charged in a while. If you've already cancelled it, click Cancelled. If one isn't really a subscription, like a utility bill that changes every month, click Not a subscription. For one Balancivo can't see, like a service paid in cash, click Add one, fill it in, and click Add. Owners can get an email before renewals and when a price goes up. Pick how many days ahead.
The Subscriptions page lists every charge that repeats, found in your bank and card transactions and in emailed receipts. Use it to catch price increases, renewals, and services you pay for twice.
Steps
- Go to Subscriptions. It's under Money in and out in the menu.
- Click Find subscriptions to look through the last 13 months of charges now. Balancivo also does this every night.
- Check the totals. The tiles show about what you spend a month and a year, how many are Active, and how many are To look at.
- Open To look at. It lists subscriptions with a flag: Price up, Also paid as (the same service on two accounts), overlaps with (two services that do the same thing), or No charge since … cancelled?.
- Sort each one out. Click Cancelled if you've stopped it, or Not a subscription if it isn't one. Click Edit to change the Name, How often, Next renewal or Note, then Save.
- Add one Balancivo can't see. Click Add one, enter the Name, Cost, How often and Next renewal (optional), and click Add. Use this for something paid in cash or on a card that isn't connected.
- Choose reminder emails (owners). Under Reminder emails, Email owners before renewals and when a price goes up starts checked. Pick how many days before (it starts at 3), or uncheck it to stop the emails.
Good to know
- This is a Plus plan feature. On Starter or Standard, the page shows what it does and how to upgrade. Free trials and charter subscribers have it. See Your free trial, plans and usage.
- Balancivo looks for the same merchant charging the same account every week, month, quarter or year. Costs per month are estimates for comparing; yearly plans are spread over 12 months.
- A subscription marked Cancelled comes back to Active if it's charged again. Not a subscription hides it for good.
- Cancelled, hidden and stopped ones are on Stopped or hidden. Click Active again to bring one back.
- Find subscriptions can be used once a minute.
- Reminder emails go to every owner, one email a day at most, listing what renews soon and any price increases. Yearly subscriptions are flagged at least 14 days ahead. Only owners see the Reminder emails section.
- More subscriptions are found when your bank or card is connected on Accounts, and when receipts from email are turned on.
