Your free trial, plans and usage
How the 7-day free trial works, what each plan includes, and how to read the usage panel and subscribe.
Who can do this: Owners subscribe; everyone can see usage.

Your organization starts with a 7-day free trial, with everything included and no card needed. This strip shows how many days are left. The usage panel in the side menu shows what your plan allows, like people and bank connections, and how much you've used. During the trial, you get the Standard plan's limits. Click the panel to open Settings, at Subscription. Plans start at 15 dollars a month for Starter, 39 for Standard, and 79 for Plus, with two months free when you pay yearly. When you're ready, click Subscribe. It opens agilegnosis.com. Use the same email you sign in with, so we can match your payment. Then come back and click I've subscribed, check again. Your books unlock as soon as the payment is matched. Now Subscription shows your plan, and the usage panel counts against its limits. And if you ever stop subscribing, nothing is deleted. Your books stay readable, printable and exportable.
Every new organization gets a 7-day free trial with everything included and no card needed. To keep making changes after that, an owner subscribes. If no one does, nothing is deleted: the books stay readable, printable and exportable.
Steps
- Check your trial. The strip at the top of every page shows 7-day free trial and how many days are left.
- Check your usage. The usage panel in the side menu, under your organization's name, shows what your plan allows and how much you've used. Click it to open Settings at Subscription.
- Subscribe. Owners click Subscribe in the trial strip or in Settings under Subscription. This opens agilegnosis.com. Subscribe with the same email you sign in to Balancivo with.
- Unlock your books. Back in Balancivo, click I've subscribed (or I've subscribed, check again). Your organization unlocks as soon as the payment is matched.
Plans
- Starter, $15 a month: 1 organization, 2 people, 2 automatic bank connections. Payroll isn't included.
- Standard, $39 a month: 1 organization, 5 people, 5 automatic bank connections, 10 people on payroll.
- Plus, $79 a month: 3 organizations, 15 people, 15 automatic bank connections, 50 people on payroll.
- Plus features: Zelle memos, receipts from email (with AI receipt reading), subscription tracking, journal entries and the Ledger page, the check register, loans and mortgages, and split transactions. On Starter and Standard, those pages show what they do and how to upgrade, and the menu tags them Plus.
- Billed yearly, you get two months free.
- Receipts read by AI each month: 50 on Starter, 200 on Standard, 500 on Plus.
- The free trial includes every feature, Plus features too, with Standard plan limits, except AI receipt reads: 25 during the trial. The usage panel shows "Trial · Standard limits."
Reading the usage panel
- People: people in this organization.
- Bank connections: automatic bank connections. Statement imports are unlimited.
- Payroll: people on payroll (not shown on Starter).
- AI receipt reads: receipts read by AI this month. This resets each month.
- Organizations: shown on Plus, which covers more than one organization.
- Trial days: days left in your trial.
Good to know
- At 80% of an allowance you'll see "Running low on your plan." When it's used up you'll see "Plan allowance used up." Everything keeps working; you just can't add more of that until you upgrade or free one up. Owners see an Upgrade button. Click Dismiss to hide the warning for now.
- When the trial ends without a subscription, the strip reads "These books are read-only." You can still view, print and export everything.
- The free trial covers one organization. To add more, subscribe. See Add or switch organizations.
- Bookkeepers see which owner can subscribe or upgrade.
- To change your card, switch plans or cancel, the person who pays clicks Manage billing under Subscription in Settings.
- Charter subscribers (subscribed before January 1, 2027) keep every feature offered on December 31, 2026, Plus features included, while the subscription stays active. Your plan's limits still apply.
- Moving from Plus to Starter or Standard never removes anything already in your books: memos, receipts, splits, register checks, loans and journal entries stay, and so do your reports.
