Create your account and set up your books
Sign up for Balancivo, confirm your email, and create the organization whose books you'll keep.

Welcome to Balancivo. If this is your first time, click Create an account. Enter your email and a password with at least 10 characters. Finish the quick security check, then click Create account. If Balancivo asks you to confirm your email, open the email it sends, then come back and sign in. Now name the organization whose books you'll keep, like your business or your church. Pick Business or Church or ministry. That gives you a ready-made list of categories to start with. Click Create. Your 7-day free trial starts right now, and no card is needed. Next, Balancivo asks you to turn on two-step sign-in. We'll walk through that in the next video.
Your Balancivo account is your sign-in. Your books live in an organization: the business, church or nonprofit you keep books for. You create your account first, then set up your first organization and become its owner.
Steps
- Open Balancivo and choose Create an account. It's under the sign-in form, next to "First time here?"
- Enter your Email and a Password. The password needs at least 12 characters, with an uppercase and a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol (like ! or #).
- Complete the security check, then click Create account.
- Confirm your email. If Balancivo asks you to, open the confirmation email, then come back and Sign in.
- Name your organization. On Set up your books, type the name in Organization name, for example Grace Community Church.
- Pick the kind of organization. Under What kind of organization is it?, choose Business or Church or ministry. This picks the starting list of categories.
- Click Create. Your 7-day free trial starts now.
- Protect your books. Balancivo asks every owner to turn on two-step sign-in before the books open. Follow Turn on two-step sign-in.
Good to know
- Your free trial lasts 7 days and includes everything. No card is needed. See Your free trial, plans and usage.
- Business categories cover sales, services, payroll and owner contributions. Church or ministry categories cover tithes, offerings, missions, clergy housing and funds.
- You become the organization's owner. You can invite a bookkeeper or treasurer later from Settings.
- Joining someone else's books instead? Ask the owner to invite your email address, then sign in and choose Accept on the invitation at the top of the page.
- Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? on the sign-in screen, enter your email and click Email me a reset link. The link works for one hour.
- Organization names can be up to 120 characters.
